Managing Director
A Chemical Engineer by profession, having graduated from the premier institute, the Indian Institute of Technology – Kharagpur, Rabi Dasgupta has built a 40-year career in the Cement & Power Industry, supported by extensive hands-on experience across diverse geographies.
His professional journey spans research, process engineering, plant operations, maintenance, capacity expansion, EPC project, commissioning and training, including 20 years stint in cement plant environments and nearly two decades at the corporate level, holding pivotal technical and strategic roles across India, the Middle East and Africa, overseeing international operations. As Project Head, he successfully delivered a landmark USD 550 million Greenfield Cement & Power Project in Angola from concept to commissioning. His research papers on cement manufacturing have won the Best Paper Award twice in international seminars.
Following a distinguished corporate career, he transitioned into entrepreneurship by establishing CEM POWER INTERNATIONAL in Dubai. As Chairman and Managing Director, he leads the company with technical mastery and industry insight. Under his stewardship, the company operates as a technology-driven, knowledge-led organisation serving global clients in the cement and power industry, while actively advocating ESG integration and sustainable transformation.
He is also the Founder and Managing Director of Acumen Global Training and Development, reflecting his commitment to human development. Deeply committed to lifelong learning, he mentors youth and industry professionals. He has authored Parenting Algorithm, reflecting his belief that strong values, structured guidance and disciplined leadership form the foundation of both successful organisations and responsible individuals.
OUR JOURNEY
We started our operations in the year 2017 as CEM-VISION FZCO which was registered as a freezone company in Dubai Airport Freezone (DAFZA). We shifted the company from Freezone to Dubai Mainland under the name of CEM POWER INTERNATIONAL for better outreach to clients and customers and to strengthen their presence in the Cement and Powerplant industry.
